Blue Jays and Geese

The blue jay I happened upon by the apartments had a nut of some kind in its beak. As I watched he buried it under some vegetation in a planter pot. I have not observed that behavior before. I wonder if he will remember where he put it, or like some squirrels, forget and accidentally find it while digging around. The two geese were on the lawn next to the river.
